One of the guys in my Wednesday group has started a Curse of Strahd campaign of his own.
“I’m wayyy off book,” he said.
“No such thing,” from myself and two or three others at the table.
Published adventures are more like guidelines than rules. As long as you know what your villain wants and the steps they’re taking to get there, and as long as your players are having fun, that’s really all you need.
