In it, I talk to my friend Nakiya Milam Roe about a lot of things, but one thing in particular he mentioned was how he doesn’t fudge dice.
I admit he made a compelling argument, and I admit I converted from a “maybe rarely I will” to “hard nope.”
If you fudge dice, try something different at your next session: Fudge hit points instead. There’s actual room for that in the rules (monster hit points listed are an average, after all).
And while you’re at it, roll a few important rolls in front of the screen. It makes it that much more intense.
