All together now: “Is don’t talk about fight club.”
It’s a pretty well-known movie quote, but how does it relate to your game?
Think about this: when was the last time your characters reminisced in-character?
Something I’ve realized as a huge difference between most games (mine included) and something like Critical Role is that Mercer is great at offering opportunities for his players to interact in character with each other.
Downtime at camp.
At your next session, think about offering your players a little downtime, a chance to talk to each other in-character, away from prying NPC eyes.
A chance to talk about the things they’ve done. About, you know … their own little fight club.
