Try New Things

With the coronavirus pandemic, plenty of in-person games are having to find different ways to meet and play.

Some groups are using Roll20, others are using Discord, or Zoom. Some are using combinations of multiple tools.

One of the groups I’m in has transitioned to a play-by-post format (it’s actually been pretty fun so far – you can see what we’ve got so far here).

The point is this: We’re all here to have fun and enjoy playing a game together. For most of us, that’s D&D in person, with your friends around the table. But it doesn’t have to be.

Try new things! Whether it’s new ways of playing the same game, or new games entirely with the same people, let’s use this time to still come together and tell the stories we love.

Shared Experiences Playing D&D Online – Sly Flourish

The Fantasy Trip: The Crumbling Oubliette Maps – Dyson’s Dodecahedron

Divination Portent: with adv/disadvantage, does Portent replace the final result, or one die? – Sage Advice

DnD 5e Exhaustion: A Crash-Course – The Alpine DM

Accessory Review: Laeral Silverhand’s Explorer’s Kit – Merric’s Musings

Out of Retirement: Feats & Character Options – DMsGuild – $0.49

100 Meals Made From Monster Parts – DMsGuild – PWYW

Now get out there and tell a story!

Peace,

Maximilian Hart
