Last night I had the first migraine headache I’ve had in forever.
So today I have a “headache hangover” – still sensitive to light, noise and any kind of sudden head movement (like sneezing earlier was a rough time).
I’m scheduled for D&D tonight, and I am going to DM.
But I’m also going to communicate to my players that I’m not doing super hot and won’t be up to my regular snuff.
If you’re under the weather or not feeling well, it really is as simple as that. Talk to your players and let them know.
Ultimately, that’s the solution to most problems at the table: just talk to your players. Some party tension? Talk to your players. Want to try an idea? Talk to your players.
Talk. To. Your. Players.
